PROMOTIONAL GUIDELINES

Cadet to EMR

In order to be promoted to EMR Cadets must:
Have a minimum of 5 hours of ride along time with an EMT II or higher.
Must complete Basic Training with a Supervisor or Command Member.
Must pass the EMS Basics test at the end of Basic training.

EMR to EMT I

Must successfully complete Field training.
Must pass the State of San Andreas EMT Licensing Exam (SSAEMTLE)


EMT I to EMT II

Must pass the Basic Life Support (BLS) Course and exam
Must have a minimum of 25 Practice Hours as an EMT I.

EMT II to Paramedic I

Must pass the Advanced Life Support (ALS) course and exam.
Must have a minimum of 50 Practice Hours as an EMT II.
Must demonstrate professionalism and leadership.
Must Pass the San Andreas Paramedic Licensing Exam (SAPLE)

Paramedic I to Paramedic II

Must pass the Advanced Medical Knowledge exam.
Must have a minimum of 50 Practice Hours as a Paramedic I.
Must demonstrate Professionalism and Leadership.
Must have a minimum of 10 training hours (riding along with an EMR or Cadet).

Lieutenant

Can be either an EMT II or Paramedic.
Must demonstrate professionalism and responsibility in their current position.
Must demonstrate a minimum activity level of 5 hours per week.
Must have a minimum of 20 training hours.

Captain

Must demonstrate excellence as a Lieutenant.
Must be a part of at least one division.
Must have a minimum activity level of 5 hours per week.
Must pass the Field Command certification.
